First Fridays on Tennyson Street

31st May 2015

Posted on September 10, 2012

We usually experience First Fridays from the inside of our wallpaper store…

so this Friday, we ventured outside. There was so much going on that we only made it one block – from 43rd to 44th. We’ll go the other direction in October.

Talented Brandon Maldonado from Albuquerque displays his t-shirts, prints, candles and magnets in front of our neighbor’s place at KB Cabinets.

Terri Maize of Hacienda Maize hosting a tasting of her pepper jellies.

Erin outside her store, Super Good Art Stuff, and no joke, they have super good art supplies.

Twinky’s Treats & Treasures set up outside of Planet Pet and donates 20% of its proceeds to the Corgi Rescue Fund.

I should’ve asked if Roux’s matching purple sweater and nails were for First Friday, or if that’s just how she rolls.

Jim and Glenna Bolton of Laughing Goddess Studio share their art, music and hand-painted rock and roll slip-ons in front of The Collection and Alice’s Secret Garden.

Metro Frame Works

The Good Food food truck. See all of the food trucks at Denver Food Trucks.

Rockin out at the Oriental Theatre.

More music at Tennyson Street Coffee & Books.

Ryan Rice’s art was on display at 44th and Tennyson. See more photos of his work on Facebook. The Eat Here Now series is my favorite.

Even without having experienced all of the galleries on Tennyson, I do believe EVB Studio is my favorite. Marie Gibbons’ ceramic work is unique, and her First Friday Minishops where visitors drop in and make their own are a hit.

It’s dark before we know it at Delilah’s of Denver.

And, then we’re likely to end up at The Mac Garage.
