It’s true – we’re still blogging about ICFF. We met some amazing designers, some we’d heard of and some we had not, so even if the designers aren’t new, they’re new to us. These are our favorites, and we can’t wait to get the samples in the store.
FLAT VERNACULAR is Payton Cosell Turner and Brian Kaspr. Flat V a Brooklyn-based design company that specializes in original hand-drawn, hand-printed, and bespoke wallpapers. We couldn’t agree more with their theory.
Toile De Derby is my favorite, but I can’t resist any of it. They even make wallpaper that glows in the dark.
YUKARI SWEENEY is a London-based design company with Japanese, American and European influences. Yukari has a background in fashion.
We love all of it, but are especially into Manor House Damask and Wild West Toile. Maybe we need a whole post on the modernized toile.

Wild West Toile in Mist…
ANABATEY specializes in African inspired wallpapers. We’re excited about all of the ethnic modern designs coming out these days.
CAMILLA MIEJER is Swedish born and London based. She creates nature inspired patterns from detailed illustrations in crazy vivid colors.
Victoria, Poppy Flower, The Summer Garden and Winter Blossom.
Her latest collection features The Owls.
LOBOLOUP is a New York based aunt and niece collaboration focused on contemporary wallpaper for the modern child. These patterns could spark some creativity in any room. We love their twist on the classics, like ships and the alphabet.
Ships & Sails…
MORAG MACPHERSON is based in Kirkcudbright in Dumfries and Galloway. Wallpaper is a recent project, and her designs were previously applied only to textiles. Her intricate designs are inspired by art movements in history, urban and natural forms and different cultures. We love the retro feel and bright colors.
Tokyo Daze makes me miss the Swatch Watch I had in third grade. Mmm. Swatches and wallpaper.
JULIE KOUMO also recently released a wallpaper collection after having specialized in prints on textile. Inspired by her French and Cameroon roots, she brings an ethnic feel to some classic floral and leaf designs.
ELLI POPP also has a mixed media feel with drawings and photos combined. London based and German born Katja Behre’s designs are vintage and feminine without being mushy.
DOUBLE R STUDIO is a New York based wallpaper company with designs inspired by organic shapes, Chinese landscape painting, and the beauty of new forms. We agree whole-heartedly in founder Rosa Ruey’s belief that art is to be enjoyed everyday, and where better than in the home. These designs (Eden and Shalimar) are from her inaugural line, Garden Collection.
